The purpose of this standard is to establish the characteristics that programmers for automatic clothes washing machines and automatic dishwashers must meet in terms of safety and durability conditions, provided that they are used normally and that their installation is carried out in accordance with the regulations in force. This standard will be applied jointly with the UNE 20-353/1 standard. The chapters that make up this standard modify or replace the corresponding chapters of the cited standard. In the absence of a chapter, the cited standard will be applied in full and without modification.
