Scope
1.1 This standard establishes the basic requirements for the specification and testing of air/surface (intermodal) containers for general cargo, which are suitable for international exchange in road, rail and maritime transport, as well as air transport in large aircraft. capacity with fixed wings in cargo version, including the exchange between these modes of transport and their transfer systems. 1.2 The coding, identification and marking of these containers must be in accordance with standards UNE 49-755/1 and 49-755 12. To identify the equipment as an air/surface (intermodal) container, it must be marked with the illustrated symbol in figure 1, located in the upper left corner of each of the side panels, including both front panels, and appropriately located on the roof panel, in accordance with the requirements of the UNE 49-775/1 standard and 49-75512, (see Annex B. 3). NOTE- If any other additional marking is used on the container, it does not have to interfere in any way with the position of the marking required by standards UNE 49-755/1 and 49-75512. 1.3 The types of containers covered by this standard are: Type Identification code Intermodal air/surface 90 to 99: Fixed wings (for general use)
