The purpose of this standard is to indicate the method that must be used to determine the activity of the ferment called urease, which is found in seeds, flour and soybean hulls and to estimate whether the degree of cooking to which said products, has inactivated the ferment to the appropriate limit to ensure the destruction of other ferments and more thermolabile harmful factors, existing in untreated products.
