This instruction establishes a provisional classification of chemical resistance of high-density polyethylene with respect to 180 fluids. It is intended to give general indications on the possible use of high-density polyethylene pipes for the transport of fluids, at temperatures of 20 °C or 60 °C and in the absence of internal pressure and external mechanical stresses such as bending stresses, efforts due to terrain, rolling loads, etc.
