This European Standard describes the methods for determining the setting time and volume stability of cements. It is applicable to all cements included in EN 197-1. This standard describes the reference procedure, allowing the use of alternative procedures, as indicated in the notes, provided they do not significantly affect the results. In case of dispute, only the reference procedure described in this standard should be used, excluding any alternative.
