The purpose of this standard is to specify a method for determining the solubilizing power for water and the emulsifying power for water presented by a dry cleaning booster or a similar auxiliary agent, at the usual cleaning concentration, that is, 3 at 5 g/l. The method is applicable for other concentrations of auxiliary product in the solvent. For higher concentrations of the auxiliary product containing a surface agent, both in the solvent and in the water, for example, in chemical brush or spray cleaning procedures, it is not recommended to use this standard.
