This international standard specifies a method for the determination of chromium in steels and cast irons by the potentiometric or visual titration method. The method is applicable to chromium contents between 0.25% and 35% (m/m). In the presence of vanadium, the visual assessment is only applied for samples with vanadium contents lower than 3 mg.
