The purpose of this standard is to indicate a method to qualitatively know the existence in aggregates of sulfur compounds soluble in water or hydrochloric acid and oxidizable sulfides during hydration and, where appropriate, to appreciate it quantitatively. The existing quantity of these compounds is expressed as a weight percentage of S04 = referred to the dry aggregate.
