The purpose of this standard is to establish the design criteria for insulation, in order to avoid problems caused by condensation and water projections outside it. This standard is applicable to refrigeration machinery used in air conditioning installations for the well-being of people. The thicknesses of the insulating product, resulting from the requirements of this Standard, may be exceeded by those required in other standards issued for reasons of energy saving.
