This European experimental standard establishes the procedures to determine the contents of the components of the cements covered by the ENV 1971 standard. The first procedure included in Chapter 6, entitled "Determination of the content of compounds in cements with more than three components" applies to all cements, regardless of the number and nature of their components. In the event that it is certain that the cement contains, in addition to the clinker and the setting regulator, blast furnace slag or fly ash or pozzolana, the methods included in chapter 7 can be applied.
