This standard establishes a verification method for the testing machines used to determine Vickers hardness HV 0.2 to HV 100 (test loads between 1,961 and 980.7 N) in accordance with UNE 7-423 / standards. 1 and UNE 7-42312. This standard describes a direct control method to verify the main functions of the machine and an indirect control method that is used to carry out a global verification of the machine. The indirect control method is only used when it is a routine periodic check of machines in service. If a testing machine is also used for other hardness testing methods, the verification must be carried out separately for each method, in accordance with the specific standards for each of them.
