The purpose of this standard is to specify the characteristics of a cotton fabric and the preliminary treatments that must be applied to it to convert it into a non-soiled control cotton fabric to control certain effects of washing. The standard also defines the conditions of use of this control fabric (in the form of control bands) during the washings that are to be controlled from the point of view of the conservation of the initial properties of the clothing.
