This standard specifies the characteristics that threaded fastening elements for the automotive industry must meet. It applies to bolts, screws and studs of:
——Nominal diameter less than or equal to 39 mm. - Triangular ISO thread profile with diameters and pitches in accordance with UNE 17-701, UNE 17-702, UNE 17-703 standards. - Any way. - Carbon or alloy steel. It does not apply to headless screws or similar (captive) fasteners. It does not give any prescription on characteristics such as:
——Weldability. - Corrosion resistance. - Resistance to temperatures above + 300 °C or below - 50 °C.
