This standard describes a method for determining the antimony content in lead using the atomic absorption technique, with prior enrichment of the solution. The method is applicable to antimony contents between 0.001 and 0.005% by mass. The method can be easily applied to antimony contents greater than 0.005% by mass by appropriate dilution of the solution corresponding to the test sample (see 6.1). In any case, it is important that the solutions to be analyzed and the solutions corresponding to the calibration terms are under similar conditions of acidity, lead concentration, etc.
