This standard is intended to specify general methods (under appropriate test conditions) of determining the ash content of a range of plastic materials (resins and composites). The particular conditions chosen can be included in the specification of the plastic material in question. NOTE These methods, in general, cannot be applied to reinforced plastic materials or non-homogeneous materials.
