UNE 80-118-1986 Test methods for cement. Semi-adiabatic method for determination of heat of hydration in physical testing of cement (Langerfarter calorimetry)
The purpose of this standard is to specify the method of measuring the heat of hydration of cements by semi-adiabatic calorimetry, also called the Langavant calorimeter method. The purpose of the test is the continuous measurement of the heat of hydration of the cements during the course of the first days. The amount of heat released is expressed in joules per gram of cement. This method applies to all cements of any type, except fast natural cements.
