The purpose of this standard is to establish a method to determine, by filtration, in the laboratory, the sediment due to foreign matter present in samples of aviation fuels. This method will be used when the test cannot be carried out at the airport itself, in which case only the sampling will be verified, followed by filtration in the laboratory.
