This standard specifies the quality characteristics common to all transmission pulleys, defines quality levels for the finishing and balancing of transmission pulleys. This standard is applicable to transmission pulleys for V-belts, flat or synchronous belts. It is not applicable to pulleys that have one or more moving flanks that are used for variable speed drives.
