This standard establishes a method for determining the mass of tin that forms the coating of tinplate. It is applicable to differential and non-differential tinplates with coating masses of 1 g/m2 to 15 g/m2 on each side. This method is also applicable to the determination of coating masses lower or higher than those mentioned above, depending on the final volume of the test solution.
