Scope
This standard establishes a method for determining the protein content in processed cheeses. The method is applicable to processed cheeses that do not contain any nitrogenous substance (susceptible to being measured by the Kjeldahl method) other than those normally found in milk. NOTE — For example, the presence of meat in processed cheeses will falsify the results.
