This standard defines the fundamental elements of wheelchairs and provides the terms and definitions of these elements in an illustrated glossary. It also expresses the measurements that are usually used to describe the physical characteristics of wheelchairs. It does not exhaustively address the accessories with which wheelchairs can be equipped.
