The purpose of this standard is to establish a visual colorimetric method for determining aldehydes in ethanol used as raw material for detergent formulations. The method is applicable to products whose aldehyde content, expressed in acetaldehyde, is between 0.00025 and 0.00125% by weight. This standard must be applied in conjunction with UNE 55-811.
