The purpose of this standard is to provide guidelines for the drafting of those parts of the specifications for magnetic cores that are related to the methods of measurement of the magnetic and electrical properties of the cores. The standard is limited to the general principles to be followed for the various possible measurement methods and establishes the factors to be taken into account when deciding on the description of the test method to be included in the specification.
