The purpose of this instruction is to establish the criteria to be followed for choosing the elastic supports to be installed between equipment and pipes with vibrating movements, on the one hand, and, on the other hand, the structure of the building, in order to reduce the transmission of vibrations and noises. The study of floating slabs, supported on elastic supports made up of cork sheets or pre-compressed fiberglass plugs, is excluded.
