This standard applies to penzene, toluene, xylene, methanol, ethanol, methyl tertiary butyl ether (hereinafter referred to as MTBE), and ethyl tertiary ether in petroleum products whose end point is 250°C or less as determined by the atmospheric distillation test method specified in JIS K 2254. This standard specifies the method for quantifying l-butyl ether (hereinafter referred to as ETBE), other hydrocarbon components, and kerosene content using gas chromatography.
