Scope
This standard will apply to all buildings that must be built in urban areas, to industrial buildings and especially to all those rooms that are specifically used for listening to speech or music. Article 3 This standard refers especially to: a) Acoustic insulation that must be considered in the foundations, walls, floors, partitions and installations of buildings. b) The suppression or damping of noise, inside and outside buildings, which can be obtained through certain restrictions that eliminate them at their source or through the use of suitably arranged absorbent materials. c) The correct conservation of the various sounds during their propagation within the rooms intended for listening, through the provision of appropriate architectural forms or the use of materials and elements that ensure the greatest possible equality between the sound emitted by the speaker or the instrument and the sound sensation perceived by each of the auditors.
