Scope
This part of DL/T 502 specifies the method for determination of total silicon in boiler water and cooling water. The determination method for silicon content in this section is between 1 mg/L and 5 mg/L. It is suitable for the determination of total silicon in raw water, clarified water and boiler water; the determination method for silicon content less than 100 μg/L is suitable for desalted water, feed water, condensate water, Determination of total silicon in steam. For water samples containing silicon in the range of 0.1 mg/L to 1.0 mg/L, the measurement can be carried out by changing the sampling volume.
