Scope

This specification specifies the test method for bubble points of extraction filter elements. This standard applies to first bubble points for verifying the assembly integrity of filter elements (by checking for the presence of air bubbles) or for measuring the maximum pore size of filter elements. That is, it specifies a method for determining whether a filter element is suitable for further use and testing.The first bubble point test does not represent the performance of a filter element. In particular, it is not intended to estimate filtration accuracy, filtration efficiency, or amount of dust captured.
