Scope

This standard specifies the chemical composition and purity of concentrates, microbial contamination, handling, measurement and labeling of concentrates, container requirements and tests required for quality inspection of concentrates. This standard applies to concentrates for hemodialysis and related treatments. This standard does not apply to the mixing process of treatment concentrates and dialysis water to prepare the final concentration for use. This standard does not apply to dialysate regeneration systems.
