Thisstandardspecifiesthereferencemethodforthedeterminationofthefatcontentofdriedmilkanddriedmilkproducts.Themethodisapplicabletodriedmilkwithafatcontentof40%massfractionormore,driedwhole,driedpartiallyskimmed,anddriedskimmedmilk,driedwhey,driedbuttermilkanddriedbutterserum.Themethodisnotapplicablewhenthepowdercontainshardlumpswhichdonotdissolveinammoniasolutionorfreefattyacidsinsignificantquantities.
