PURPOSE The purpose of AOP-8 is to: a. show to fuze designers and munition developers the characteristics of existing fuzes thus avoiding that fuze designers enter into a development effort to arrive at fuze characteristics already available. It is not intended to include in the AOP statements on full interchangeability of fuzes as to from@ fit and function or to cover logistical aspects. b. provide information on the conformance to safety standards of individual fuzes in accordance with STANAG 4157 and national safety standards.?
