Scope

Ten representative weapon yields and a wide range of targets have been included in this publication for use by personnel of land@ air and naval forces in a wide variety of situations. The data and procedures in this publication have been kept as simple as possible in order to facilitate field use. While in some respects@ the data in this publication are similar in appearance to data used by target analysts concerned with offensive weapons employment@ these data are not suitable for such use and must not be used for weapon employment purposes. Purpose This publication provides@ for exercises and training ONLY@ simplified nuclear casualty and damage data and procedures for use in making an assessment of the probable results of an enemy nuclear attack on friendly targets.
