This standard establishes the classification and definitions of the different types of self-propelled handling trucks and includes the terms and definitions of the main constituent elements and accessories of the trucks. Some terms are not defined, either because these terms are defined by themselves, or because they are terms normally used in other fields. Schematic representations have been introduced to clarify definitions where it has been deemed necessary. The annex to this standard specifies the terms and definitions related to handling trailers and operating areas on which forklifts are called to work.
