Scope

This part of NB/T 47013 specifies the ultrasonic testing methods and quality classification requirements for pressure-bearing equipment using type A pulse reflection ultrasonic detectors to detect workpiece defects. This section is applicable to the ultrasonic testing of raw materials or parts and welded joints for pressure-bearing equipment made of metal materials. It is also applicable to the ultrasonic testing of pressure-bearing equipment made of metal materials in use. This standard specifies ultrasonic measurement methods for the thickness of pressure-bearing equipment. Ultrasonic testing of supports and structural parts related to pressure-bearing equipment may also be used with reference to this section.
