Scope

Thisstandardspecifiessamplingplansfortheinspectionbyattributesofmilkandmilkproducts.Itisintendedtobeusedtochooseasamplesizeforanysituationwhereitisrequiredtomeasuretheconformitytoaspecificationofalotofadairyproductbyexaminationofarepresentativesample.Itisapplicabletothesamplingofallmilkproductssubmittedindiscretelots,irrespectiveofwhetherthelotsarefromthesampleproduction.Theacceptanceorotherwiseofanylotisamatterforthepartiestoacontractandisoutsidethescopeofthestandard.Itisintendedtobeusedinallcaseswhereattributesamplingplansarerequiredforadairyproduct,exceptthatifspecificcompositionalstandards,specificationsorcontractsincludedifferentsampling.Thestandardisnotapplicabletosamplingformicrobiologicaldefects,unlessotherwiseagreedbytheinterestedparties.
