Scope
This standard is applicable to the surface quality inspection of copper alloy propellers for civil ships. Used to find surface opening defects such as pores, shrinkage porosity, blisters, slag inclusions, cold shut, lack of fusion and cracks. Integrated propellers with a finished product weight exceeding 10t and single cast propellers with a finished product weight exceeding 2t shall be inspected. Before the standards for ships are formulated, the inspection of actinium alloy propellers for ships of any weight can be temporarily carried out with reference to this standard. This standard is also applicable to the coloring inspection of the repair welding quality of copper alloy propellers of various civilian ships of any weight.
